Visa & Mastercard deposits and withdrawals

Visa and Mastercard are accepted worldwide. They are almost always available in a bookmaker's cashier — but this is also where bank declines happen most often.

Visa and Mastercard deposits: an overview

Visa and Mastercard deposits are the most universal method for anyone with an international card. Banks in India, Bangladesh, Nigeria, Kenya, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Turkey and many other countries issue Visa and Mastercard cards, linked to accounts in local currency or US dollars. The card form in a bookmaker's cashier is usually standard: card number, expiry date, cardholder name and CVV code.

However, "payment declined" messages appear most often with international cards. The reason is that banks have specific policies on international online payments — especially gambling-related ones. Below we explain the process and the reasons for declines. If your local cashier offers alternatives such as UPI, mobile money or e-wallets, those are often more reliable in countries where banks frequently block such card transactions.

Step by step: depositing by card

  1. Check in your banking app that online and international payments are enabled on your card.
  2. Select Visa or Mastercard in the bookmaker's cashier.
  3. Enter the amount, and bear in mind that currency conversion will take place if your card currency differs from your account currency.
  4. Enter your card details: number, expiry date, cardholder name (in Latin letters) and CVV.
  5. On the 3-D Secure page, enter the SMS code sent by your bank or approve the payment in your banking app.
  6. Check your balance. If you entered the promo code XBUNKER at registration, your first-deposit bonus is calculated under the bookmaker's current terms.
3-D Secure is an extra layer of protection your bank uses to confirm that you are the one making the payment. The page opens with your bank's name and asks for a one-time code. Only enter that code on this page and never tell it to anyone.

Why banks decline payments

ReasonWhat you can do
International or online payments are disabledCheck the setting in your banking app
Insufficient funds (including conversion)Account for the amount and the exchange rate
Wrong or expired 3-D Secure codeTry again with a new code
The bank restricts gambling-category paymentsContact your bank or choose another legitimate method
The card has expired or is blockedContact your bank

Don't look for ways to "get around" a payment your bank declined under its policy: using someone else's card or paying through dubious middlemen breaks the rules and leads to your account being blocked. Instead, use another method such as USDT, a local payment method available in your country, or — for players in Uzbekistan — local Uzcard or Humo cards.

Currency and conversion

If your card is in US dollars and your betting account is in your local currency (or vice versa), the payment will be converted. The rate may be set by the bank, the card network or the bookmaker, and sometimes the money is converted twice. As a result, the amount credited to your balance may differ slightly from what you expected. To avoid this, it makes sense to choose an account currency that matches your card currency — but at many bookmakers the currency cannot be changed after registration.

Withdrawing to Visa and Mastercard

Whether you can withdraw to a card depends on the bookmaker and the country. Some bookmakers support direct withdrawals to Visa/Mastercard, while others only allow card deposits and offer withdrawals via another method. Processing can take several business days, because a refund to an international card also has to be handled by the bank. See our withdrawals guide for details, and the verification page for the document requirements on your first withdrawal.

Checklist before paying by card

If you spend a few minutes checking the following before your first payment with an international card, you will be much less likely to see a "declined" message:

  • The card is in your name, and the name in your betting profile matches the Latin spelling on the card.
  • Online and international payments are enabled, and the phone number for 3-D Secure is correct at your bank.
  • The funds on the card are sufficient once conversion and any bank fees are taken into account.
  • The card isn't temporarily blocked in your banking app and hasn't expired.
  • You are paying within the minimum and maximum amounts shown in the cashier.

If everything checks out and the payment still won't go through, don't make dozens of attempts in a row. Repeated failures can trigger your bank's anti-fraud system and temporarily block the card. Instead, contact your bank to find out the reason, or choose another method.

Pros and cons

Pros

  • Available in almost every cashier
  • Works in many countries
  • Protected by 3-D Secure

Cons

  • Bank declines are common
  • Currency conversion costs
  • Card withdrawals are not always available
Only enter your card details in the bookmaker's cashier or on your bank's 3-D Secure page. If someone asks for your card details via Telegram, WhatsApp or a "helper" — it's a scam.

Frequently asked questions

Why was my Visa card declined at a bookmaker?
Most often international or online payments are disabled, there aren't enough funds, or the bank restricts such payments under its policy. Check your banking app or contact your bank.
What is 3-D Secure?
It is a protection your bank uses to confirm a payment: you are asked for an SMS code or an approval in your banking app.
Can I fund a local-currency account with a dollar card?
Usually yes, but the payment will be converted, and the amount credited may differ because of the exchange rate.
Can I withdraw winnings to a Mastercard?
It depends on the bookmaker and the country. Some cashiers allow card withdrawals; others offer an alternative method.
